Picture Post #5

All right, folks. I'm hoping to be back with a vengence. I had a horrible week, to be perfectly honest. I'm not really quite sure what was totally up with me. Things just seemed to fall apart, and I think it was good to take my first actual hiatus since I started my journey.
I started to get very overwhelmed with life. I have so many observations, clinicals, projects, and so much homework this semester. Not to mention trying to keep my head afloat as far as finances. And then I felt sicker than a dog at random times. I was sure I was catching the flu my grandmother had last week. Even last night, I still was not up to par.
So my exercise levels were off for sure. But so were my eating levels. I'd be pretty sure that out of the last seven days, I ate my minimum amount of calories maybe twice. So...hopefully the scale will still be merciful. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high though.
I've been trying to redeem myself, but it's been tough. This week was my boyfriend's birthday. So of course that meant birthday dinners, cakes, treats, etc. And this weekend, we had two birthday parties to attend for family. More birthday dinners, more cake, more treats, more etc. Boo. I think I did incredibly well as far as portion control though. *pats self on back*

So without further ado, I present a few pictures from my week.

This is the first thing I blame for my lack of updating. As you can see, I have 8+ books to read from each week. And projects. And homework. And screw this.

On to better things: This picture shows three key components of my week.
1) I got a haircut. And I really like it. I've received many compliments, especially from family members. So yay.
2) My boyfriend got a Blackberry Pearl. (He took this picture with it.) It is his new lover, and I guess I can't blame him. It's a lot shinier and more interactive than I am.
3) WILL & GRACE: SEASON 8 CAME OUT ON DVD!!!!!!!!!!!! BEST THING EVER.
Sidenote: For anyone who doesn't know, I watch this show every single day. It is playing when I wake up. It plays when I go to bed. This may be sad to some, but it's a coping mechanism for me.

As I said...Jordan's b-day! Happy 20th, honey. This picture is of two of my favorite men in the world. Jordan is on the right, and my good friend, Drake, is on the left. They actually played DDR to the song, "Ooops, I Did It Again." Hilarity ensued, my friends. You can be sure of it.

So...I hope to start back up on this dealy again. I cannot guarantee I will be posting nearly as frequently as I did before classes started. I was hoping I could maintain it, but I'm more focused on academics than on blogland. That's not to say I don't love this blog and how it's helped me keep track of this crazy new lifestyle. It's just important for me to do my best at academics first. For all the damned money I'm paying, I can't screw this one up. :-)
